Ash2304
Hi, I have a 2014 connect that doesn’t come with front fog lights as standard. I’ve got another front bumper in which I want to fit fog lights but can’t work out how to wire them up properly. im no idiot with electrics so I could probably wire them up with a separate switch etc but I’m hoping there’s a proper way to do it? There’s a plug with a blank in the end of it on the n/s/f which seems as though it would be a fog light plug, but I can’t buy/find any kind of loom that would plug into it? Please can someone help! thanks Ash
gossipninja
I could be wrong, but I'd imagine whatever factory harness the fog lights run off of is not present in your transit. With that said an after market fog light kit will likely have the lights powered off the battery switched via a relay where the "trigger" for the relay is a paddle switch. Basically setting the fog lights up the way off road LED bars are set up. The attached picture from a $15 "light bar harness" should help explain. Don Ridley
It will be complicated and costly to implement factory fog lights: Wire harness, headlight switch w/fogs and ECU programming. Not worth the effort.

All you need to do is add the lamps, then wire them? I would just use a fused relay, and connect the coil to the parking lamps. If it were my install, I would also install amber LED H11. As a side note, whenever I've installed aftermarket LED, I always bench test the lamps first. I make sure that the lamps actually work without flickering. And I get an AMP draw reading, so that I can fuse the circuit appropriately. Most of these LED lamps have a very low AMP draw and are low wattage. I've hooked up light bars with a 5A fuse. Can't have amber lights facing forward in Europe apart from turn signals. Other than that, side only. Fog lights can be white or yellow.
