Aeronut67
Hey guys, new to the forum and greatfull for any help. I have a 2015 connect with just over 50,000 mi. Bought it used and put 3,000 miles on it without an issue. I blew the dome light fuse installing led strip light over my work bench. Drove the van for a few day before I replaced the fuse. After I replaced the fuse days later the van won’t start. No crank no start. Coincidence? I’ve checked all the fuses multiple times and they are all good. thanks for any help
PhotoAl
Welcome! have you tried removing the replaced fuse and then starting?
VTransit
I had an issue starting as well that turned out to be the starter failing. I only had around 38,000 when it decided to quit, so its not outside the realm of possibility for yourself.
Mike Chell
Based on years of experience with other vehicles ... in my opinion: Yes, it's a coincidence. Your starter problem has nothing to do with the dome light fuse. Diagnose it as a separate problem.
G B L
Have you shifted into neutral and tried to crank the engine?
Mike Chell
Mine doesn't, but my wife's car requires pressure on the brake pedal before it'll turn over.
mrtn
Oh yeah, check the brake pedal switch.
Aeronut67
I tried starting it in neutral and it back to park a few times to make sure it seated properly in park. Also had the key interrogated to make sure the transponder was repotting properly, and it was.
