Fifty150
Sure. Hit the brakes suddenly. Run over a speed bump. Drive on uneven pavement. That plywood won't come down and hit you on the head.
jrm223
I transported 10 or 11 sheets of 1/2" R-Max insulation a few weeks ago, looks like I didn't take any pics, though. I used a strap at each end to hold it up against the roof and I had about a finger-thickness of space above my head - but, I lean way back compared to most people (back/spine pain). Luckily, I only had to bring them like 5 miles because doing the whole 85 mile drive home wouldn't have been fun. The rest of the trip was on a trailer, instead. Straps are your friend, even in a van! Especially in a van, because that cargo will fly forward in an accident and you don't have much of anything protecting you from the cargo... Fifty150
Which is why commercial users install those metal screens. I believe that in Europe, vans are required to have bulkheads. jrm223
20Ti
My bed platform helps a bit in this 2020 Passenger. As do the hard points through the headliner that were part of some option package for a bulkhead screen. Definitely not 100% safe, I don’t advise anyone do this. I stay off highways the few miles I’ll drive this way.
