G B L
Can't be too much wrong with the radio, Most likely a connection. Good luck keep us posted.

G B L
Have you tried this sequence from the 2010 manual if yes then Oh well, if not then its worth a try. Good Luck Auxiliary input jack (Line in) WARNING: Driving while distracted can result in loss of vehicle control, accident and injury. Ford strongly recommends that drivers use extreme caution when using any device that may take their focus off the road. The driver’s primary responsibility is the safe operation of their vehicle. Only use cell phones and other devices not essential to the driving task when it is safe to do so. The auxiliary input jack allows you to connect your portable music player and play music through the vehicle speakers with high fidelity. Required equipment: 1. Any portable music player designed to be used with headphones 2. An audio extension cable with stereo male 1/8 in. (3.5 mm) connectors at each end. To play your portable music player using the auxiliary input jack: 1. Begin with the vehicle parked and the radio turned off. 2. Ensure that the battery in your portable music player is new or fully charged and that the device is turned off. 3. Attach one end of the audio extension cable to the headphone output of your player and the other end of the audio extension cable to the auxiliary input jack. 4. Turn the radio on, using either a tuned FM station or a CD loaded into the system. Adjust the volume to a comfortable listening level. 5. Turn the portable music player on and adjust the volume to 1/2 the volume. 6. Press AUX on the vehicle radio repeatedly until AUX appears in the display. You should hear audio from your portable music player although it may be low. 7. Adjust the sound on your portable music player until it reaches the level of the FM station or CD by switching back and forth between the AUX and FM or CD controls. 103west43rd
Just to add one more piece of information to G B L's reply, are you using the headphone output from your XM radio? The Aux input will not work with a line output.
BSUPC
Not sure what model of Sat. Radio you have. But if you have one of the models that have the built in FM tuner, then I would try to use that feature and see if you get any sound with that method. If you do then I would say it is in the AUX connect to the van radio area where the problem lies. If not then your new radio you have ordered should cure the withdrawals. I know I go nuts if my Sat. Radio is not cranked up. ROCK ON !!!!!!
Sbss29
I have had issues with my 2010 playing my IPOD through the AUX. When I drop back to the procedures in the owners manual it always works. Very weird though....I literally stop and turn the radio off and plug it back in...
escobar
thanks guys, I changed out the radio and it made no difference. BSUPC
have you checked the connections from the AUX port to the back of the AM/FM radio ? Maybe a loose connection or just a plain bad cable ?
G B L
Well while I am thinking you can get an Fm Modulator that will make the radio accept the input as a radio signal here's a link https://www.amazon.com/Shellvcase-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Modulator-Hands-Free/dp/B01KJHWGD2/ref=sr_1_1/166-0129916-1537963?ie=UTF8&qid=1483216330&sr=8-1&keywords=blue+tooth+fm+modulator
escobar
interesting, so i would just plug my XM radio into that and it would play over a FM station? thats a viable option for sure. thanks bud Edited January 1, 2017 by escobar
