scottacus1100
Does anybody have any ideas on how to get one? My wife hates riding in my TC because there isnt one. Edited February 16, 2010 by scottacus1100
zepper
Well here is an expensive idea. Order a driver's seat from the UK. The only thing I am not sure of b/c I don't own a TC yet is the seat belt connections. If they are to the floor you could get away with this. bilgewiper
My 1st generation Scion xB had no armrest for even the driver. Within months of the cars release here in the U.S. there were numours aftermarket companies making different syles all avalible on the internet. Somebody is going to make one for these vehicles I hope.
zepper
Saw they make an aftermarket one in the UK market for 85 Euros or so. It is a wide arm rest that fits between the seats and works for driver and passenger. Now a different question, has anyone taken their armrest off the driver seat? How easily did it come off? Connect owner UK
Right, thanks to you guys, I have located one in the UK which is a good price, looks cool, and come with three different fitting plates. I may well be buying one for my TC. Arm rest
Connect owner UK
Here is a dearer one, which shows the fitting, but it appears it has to be raised every time you need the handbrake. (I bet you guys miss the old foot operated parking brake, :( Diagram
zepper
Hi Connect Owner UK, Did you ever end up getting an aftermarket arm rest? What did you end up choosing and how did it fit? Thanks

jedmorrell
I bought one of these from the UK. Shipping was cheaper than some domestic ebayers. --http://stores.ebay.co.uk/UltimateStyling/_i.html?_nkw=armster+ford+connect&submit=Search&LH_TitleDesc=1&_sasi=1&_sid=62193219 -- Armster makes these and it was an easy install. danbyrambler
Old thread, I know, but . . . . 1st I've seen on eBay - - Looks to be from a RHD - - - expensive IMO - - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Transit-Connect-4-dr-Van-Blue-Gray-Cloth-Front-Bucket-Seats-2012-Left-Right-/201133101247?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ed47790bf&vxp=mtr No luck ever for a driver side wi armrest on eBay UK - - Seems to be no interest in shipping to the US - Most won't even respond to eMail/eBay requests. 103west43rd
Hello danbyrambler. Take a close look at the seats on the eBay listing you provided. Even though the eBay seller is in the US, those are seats from a Transit Connect built for a country that drives on the LEFT side of the road! As per the description and pictures, the arm rest is on the left side of the left seat. In the US, our left seat has the arm rest on the right side. Also, as per the picture, the seat belt locks into the left side, our left seat has the seatbelt lock into the right side. You may have found the answer to many forum members who wanted an arm rest for our passenger seat!
Madweevil
I'm not sure if anyone is still interested, but I made my own. I used the factory cupholder, ABS pipe and caps, plywood, carriage bolts and some cheap armrests from Canadian Tire. I finshed it off with two flip down cup holders. It's sturdy and removable.
