I was driving the connect on a fairly long journey and every so often it would suddenly feel like the tires would slip like it was on ice but it was 10 degrees outside. Or for a brief second it would loose power, this would only happen on the odd occasion, does anybody have any idea what could be happening or had the same thing happen? Any help would be welcome.

So I've removed the cables from the stick but how do I fully remove them from the assembly? The manual says to rotate. But what do I rotate? There's little orange things in there too. Is it them?

My 06 connect which I recently bought, I noticed the radiator isn't fully connected at the bottom. The drivers side (right) rubber foot isn't on the frame properly. It's balanced and is safe but it I'd like to correct it and make sure it's in that hole. Is this easy to sort or do I need to disconnect everything? Help?

Hi. My 06 transit connect has 110000 miles on clock. I'm worried about timing belt/chain so Ive been asking around for quotes. Two garages told me that I have a wet and dry belt. First garage said it's around £1k to change them. Second one was £700. I phoned Ford just there to make sure it's definitely a wet and dry belt set up. They told me I have a dry timing belt AND a chain. I asked if that's the one in the cassette type thing. They said yes and said I wouldn't need to change the chain, just the belt and water pump need changed. Can anyone confirm this is correct as I'm sceptical still and havnt got a clue. If this is true then why are independent garages quoting me for a wet and dry belt change when ford says its a chain and doesn't need replacing? Please help?

Hi, I currently have a 2014 connect panel van which has the rear seats and moveable mesh bulkhead. Does anyone know if I would be able to fit a standard metal bulkhead as I’m removing the seats and just want the van as a 2 seater panel van. I’m a bit concerned as there is a footwell for rear passengers, would this be an issue?

Hello 2012 ford transit connect 115k miles yesterday I started having an issue with my car revving high, unable to reach high speeds, and shifting only up to 2nd gear. Took to a mechanic and they diagnosed a full rebuild Of the transmission, estimated at 3000$. They pulled codes P0571 and P0972 which are associated with this TSB bulletin. https://www.tsbsearch.com/Ford/14-0002 I was wondering if this seems a reasonable price for the work? Also if anyone has had a similar issue and had a cheaper work around? I do not have the tools or knowledge to change it myself and the shop said they don’t do parts a customer brings in due to liability issues. thanks in advance for all the info and help.

I have a 2010 Transit Connect with a check engine light on. I pulled the DTC code from the dash display “C 127”. Couldn’t find anything on the internet for that code so I took the vehicle into a shop and had them scan it. The code came up as lost communication to the steering angle sensor. The code was cleared and about 3 weeks later check engine light came on again. Checked and same code C 127 came up reading from the dash. Has anybody else ran into this issue? The sensor is almost $500 at the dealer, haven’t found any supplier aftermarket and a little reluctant to go used. Any ideas that may help to test the sensor before I spend that kind of money to find out that it is actually a wiring problem rather than the sensor itself?

Hi, I just purchased a preowned (1 owner) 2017 Connect with 6200 miles. I needed a larger vehicle for my line of work and to hold all my tools and ladders. I was hoping to hear from owners of the Connect on maintenance and daily use issues if any. I purchased the extended warranty from the dealership but am able to remove and be reimbursed if I decide it’s not worth it. Right now the van is bare but I will post new pics once I have it setup with my racks and tools etc. Thanks in advance

I was just told by a dealer that I couldn't test drive a Transit Connect due to an active recall, they didn't give me any info about the problem, anyone hear of this active recall

Hello again, I’ve promised to make a post about Ford Transit Connect blueprints here. So that's it. We at Outlines are focused on vehicle blueprints producing. These blueprints are acceptable for wrap, signwriting, vinyl graphics; for 3D modelling and maybe also for t-shirt design^^. Each template is scalable vector file (PDF, AI etc) with editable separate parts and layers. I hope it could be useful for you, mates. That what I have at the moment: Ford Transit Connect Blueprints and Drawings If you need to request any other versions or vehicles please use Request page on the website. We could produce any blueprint in one or few days. Feel free to ask me any questions. Thank you. Best wishes, Eli Afan
