  1. Getting my van this weekend and installing 19" Focus RS rims soon thereafter. I'm not holding my breath for a bolt-on coilover kit so for now I'd just like to put a mild 1" drop on it. Is there an H&R or Eibach spring kit available? Google isn't finding anything.
  2. If it's on the exterior then it could be the bumper for the rear 180 degree swinging doors.
  3. Does anyone know how you would access the original Sync menus with this conversion? The buttons are removed, yet the screen is meant to remain functional, but how?
  4. I'm definitely interested in coilovers and I love those monobloc rims, but damn they're expensive. I likely will run Focus ST rims. Please don't forget to keep us updated.
  5. Should fit. 18" Focus ST wheels do.
  6. Grab me a white SWB XLT w/1.6 ecoboost, My Ford Touch and rear swinging doors while you're at it.
  7. Thank you. My dealer said my van shipped on 4/3, but I've had the windows sticker since 4/13 and I'm not even sure when the window sticker was first available, I just know it was available when Ford found the van for me. Based on your timeline if I base the arrival upon when the dealer said it shipped then I wouldn't see it until June 3rd, but if my dealer is wrong and I base it one when the window sticker was available I'd be looking at May 2nd which would be great!
  8. Hey Windguy do you know how long it took the ship to bring your van from Spain? My van was loaded onto the ship on 4/3 and I'm wondering how much longer it will be at sea before arriving in Los Angeles.
  9. I'm curious about this as well since it would surely open up my options for available vehicles. I'm currently waiting for a Transit with Ford Touch to arrive from Spain, but if I could swap the stereo I could buy any Transit. I highly doubt it's plug and play however. I have the MyFordTouch in my Fiesta ST and it's tied to the steering wheel controls like the regular SYNC, but I have a feeling you'd lose those functions. You'd definitely have to change out the whole dash bezel as they're completely different.
  10. So what's up with this company? Do they sell components separately or just pre-modified vans? Also, their website now only shows the Transit Custom. Are they no longer production Transit Connect kits?
  11. Yeah I had to have the swinging doors. It's the biggest separator from a minivan in my opinion. This is one of my other vans. 1989 Toyota TownAce turbo-diesel 4wd 5-speed. Imported from Japan it's right hand drive. It has a lift gate, but for this it's still cool.
  12. I put a deposit on a 2016 that's on the boat. Should be here in 3 weeks. 1.6, rear swinging doors, 17" wheels, forward ans rear assist, blind spot indicator and My Ford Touch. Silver with black interior. I was hoping for white and stone, but the color has grown on me. It looks just like this pic.
  13. Thank you man. I'm trying to find one with My Ford Touch, but that is still a sweet van. I found a dark blue one which isn't my favorite color.
  14. Damn where is that 26.5 van now??? That's what I'm looking for I don't even really care about the price.
  15. Just got the 2017 ordering guide. No more Ecoboost. 2.5 Duratec only from now on.
  16. We guys...I'm crushed. I went to order my 2017 Transit Connect and they printed out the ordering guide for me. The very first thing printed on the page under "New for 2017 MY" is 1.6L EcoBoost I-4 Gas engine is no longer available. Holy shit there goes my plans. Yes for 99% of you guys this doesn't mean jack squat, but to me it's a game changer. I now have to find a different vehicle for my family. If the ordering guide isn't made available to the public soon I'll probably scan my copy and post a link. It's 15 pages so it would be a pretty big file.
  17. I'd be happy with even an aftermarket AWD/4WD solution a'la Quigley or the like. They do an awesome job on the full sized Transit.
  18. I totally agree I'm trying to stir up interest, but I don't think I can make a dent on my own.
  19. Sounds like you had the same problem as me finding one. I was actually about to forgo the panoramic roof too because I had actually sourced one, but it was 400 miles away and sold before I could make a move. That's why I'm just ordering one from scratch now. If Ford's 2017 statements are true, then this is the van I'm ordering tomorrow: 2017 Transit Connect Wagon SWB Titanium (new SWB option for 2017, includes leather, SYNC 3, reverse sensors, auto headlamps, roof rails, power seats and fog lamps) 1.6L Ecoboost Trailer Tow pkg Power Mirrrors Auto temp control 17" wheels (hoping for a new black wheel choice, the existing ones are ugly to me) 2 Key fobs Panoramic Sunroof I'm also considering the blind spot indicator, but I don't think I really need that.
  20. I have an appointment to place my 2017 order tomorrow at 2pm PST. I'll going to find out as much as they'll tell me.
  21. Ford's biggest mistake was putting the Ecoboost in the Transit and not telling people how much better the engine really is. The numbers don't tell the story AT ALL. On Sunday I test drove a Wagon Titanium LWB with the 2.5 Duratec. Lethargic would best describe the experience. I know from past vehicles I've owned that I will get tired of that really quick. I don't need to be a speed demon, but passing someone on the freeway or properly merging are definitely important to me. Then I drove the 1.6 Ecoboost on a LWB cargo van. Enormous difference. Torque everywhere. The 2.5 just starts to feel like it has some balls as you rev it out to 6k. The 1.6 delivers that same feel from the beginning to the end of the tachometer. It's a FAR CRY from just being a badge on the door as someone has apparently mis-lead you to believe. Again, Ford could easily market the 1.6 better. I believe they know who they are up against, which I hate to say is people with GBL's mindset, which is "it's a van, and it works so don't charge me for any fancy gimmicks". It's just so not true in this case. The van has so much potential. The 1.6 should have been the base engine with the 2.0 Ecoboost as the top level. A 2 liter Ecoboost, AWD Transit Connect is literally my ideal vehicle.
  22. Ford It seems Ford is really not caring too much about the minority of us, who actually like this vehicle and it's "available" options. You should do what I did, keep visiting the Ford website until you get a "chat invitation". Once you get an agent, ask them to run the search for you. Funny thing is there's no way to initiate a chat without being invited. It's just one obstacle after another. Why can't I just like another vehicle? The Metris is ugly and overpriced. The NV200 is a joke. The Promaster City...ew.
  23. I had a Ford representative run a nationwide inventory search for Transit Connect Wagons that had both the Ecoboost engine and My Ford Touch radios. 2015: 0 available 2016: 0 available, 1 in production Transit Wagons with the Ecoboost (in any configuration) was less than a dozen in inventory nationwide. Wow. Cargo vans with Ecoboost, there's LOTS. Wagons, it's almost non-existent. Las Vegas has 3 Ecoboost Wagons, but all have the tiny, cheap, stereo screen. Why some dealers order these fully loaded SWB vans, but skip the Ecoboost or the My Ford Touch is beyond me. I'm placing my custom 2017 Transit Connect order tomorrow. I'll post my findings for those that care.
  24. So the order banks open on Monday and I'm pretty excited to see what new configurations are possible (really hoping for Titanium with Ecoboost, but not holding my breath). Anyways, I'm really wondering when the Ford "build and price" site is going to have the 2017? I'm definitely going to check on Monday, but again, not holding my breath.
