Hello johnsonmy, the theory behind low beams going off when high beams come on is how your eyes and brain process the light. We concentrate on looking at the brightest portion of the road so, with the high beams on, we should be looking further down the road. If the low beams are on along with the high beams, we still will look just in front of the vehicle.1 point
