  4. Does anyone have the FSM procedure and torque specs to replace the engine mount and upper and lower(torque strut) transmission mounts? Thanks
  5. Ford has no minivans left in Europe either. The Transit/Tourneo Connect is basically a VW Caddy Life and it's a VAN in its core, unlike Honda/Toyota/Chrysler products.
  6. Hi, I know it's been a while, I tried to watch your videos on YT but they are private, any way I can watch them for inspiration please? Tia Annie
  7. If the wiper arms are tight on the posts , then you will need to go through the timing procedure. A good scan tool will make this easy.
  8. First thing I would check is are they loose on the posts or are the arms or posts stripped. Do you have to pull one off to reset?
  9. Snow and ice has knocked my wipers out of time. How do I reset them? I can move them to full vertical on the windshield. Turn on the ignition and it stows them properly. Hit the lever again and the almost go back to vertical. Next actuation they go less than before. Less each time till they cross each other and jam about a foot from horizontal.
  10. Saw this interesting article in Yahoo Finance this week. Titled "Minivan sales surge 21% in 2025 as millennial dads lead demand for cars offering the 'best bang for your buck'" Honda, Toyota, Kia and Chrysler are leading the pack. Figures that Ford missed this opportunity sheit canning the Transit Connect. Reactive rather than proactive and predicting the market and learning from the European Market. Anyone that owns a minivan understands the utility can't be beat. The heck with the optics that it's a soccer mom vehicle with no swagger. Ford had enough time to find a permanent solution to avoid tariffs (chicken tax). We'll see what their next move will be. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/minivan-sales-surge-21-in-2025-as-millennial-dads-lead-demand-for-cars-offering-the-best-bang-for-your-buck-143022892.html?err=1
  11. 7 Years later - Yup. I know. But I'm on this saga of finding the tall mirrors for Left Hand Drive and ship to US. Finally stumbled on this post after searching Germany and France ebay to limited success. Should I care the brand VIEWMAX is not OEM? Yes my van is 13 years old but it's only got 20,000 miles on the odo. It's basically new. Anyone have an oversears supplier for OE parts? Did anyone find someone else to replace FordPartsUK that many had used on this forum?
  12. Looking for anyone that has experience or confirmation of changing the tire size settings in a Gen1 Transit connect. Specifically a 2013, US version. I understand it should be in theory possible with the lastest forscan software with custom circumference, but I have only read about other users successful doing so within the context of the later year TCs. Thanks,
  13. Does anyone here have experience doing this on the Gen 1 TC? 2013?
  14. 3PMSF is self-certification so it doesn't really mean anything, objectively. Mine were first edition which were not much different from summer tires apart from aggressive and self cleaning pattern. Now (according to my tire guy) with CC3 they have finally nailed the compound for snow use but lost the treadwear characteristics. This is just plain physics, its impossible to have both - grip on ice/snow and long life.So if you are going to need to have separate summer tires anyway you might as well go with cheap proper winter tires which beat even CC3 hands down.
  15. @Beta Don did those rims have a weight stamp rating on them? I’m wanting to upgrade my rims but I do need to still haul a decent weight capacity in my gen 1 van
  16. @OLDSCHOOLFOOL I'm curiuos why you were interested in downsizing to 15's on this van? I see a lot of threads asking about upsizing the rim size (often for visual/better tire selection). I have the 2013 with 15's debating upsizing 16" rim to get a 215/65R15. Not completely sold yet as I have yet to figure out if I can forscan reprogram the speedo on the gen1 TC. Ultimately I want a better looking rim, ease of tire selection (though I am sacrificing load index and load range from factory spec, and weighing implications this might have in an accident and/or actual MPG hits with in ability to pressure up to 49 PSi with non XL rated tires such as the general grabber AT
  17. @jrm223 or anyone else - know if I can use Forscan to change the tire size in a gen 1 2013 TC? US Version. I'm nearly convinced to get 16" rims and try to run a 215/65R16s due to availability and selection of tires. But That is 6% increase in tire diameter and I'm not willing to put up with that type of odomoter/spedo deviation. TIA
  18. @ThatsMyDawgWhat did you end up going with and did you keep the rim size the 15" stock? I'm shopping for all season tires, I'm in the pacific NW and don't anticipate much crazy snow, but want to be prepared regardless. I'm eyeing some 3PMSF rated all seasons for this reason. @mrtn I'm surprised you didn't find success with your Michelin CrossClimates in snow - aren't those a 3PMSF rated tire? Was that before that rating was common, or did you just find performance of a better dedicated snow tire advantageous for your scenario?
  19. Would you still recommend this size? I have a 2013 TC i'm needing new tires for. I dislike the steelie look but don't necessarily want to change the overall diameter of the tire too drastically. Do you think that the difference in acceleration and control was due to the rim size increase, or due to new tires?
  20. Anyone on this particular thread who has upsized their gen 1 connect (15" rims to 16 or 17 or 18) can you comment on improvements and drawbacks. I don't want to oversize from factory specs too much, but I do want to get a nicer alloy rim and if that means a slightly wider tire, i'm ok with that also. If I can re-program my 2013 connect computer to compensate for a larger diameter tire, I would consider that, but I'm trying to determine if an increased rim size will really gain me anything - aside from perhaps a better selection of tire.
  21. Can you comment on the performance of those firestone weather grips? I asusme you've replaced them at this point. I have a first gen TC (2013) and am shopping for new tires as well as debating an upsize of tire rim. I see you've done that on your first gen, and reading your posts sounds like you've got a wealth of knowledge on the first gen. Would you get the firestones again? what size are you running and, if you upsized from stock, what improvements did you gain, lose?
  22. Camperconnect - what size rims/wheels are those? i'm debating upsizing from the stock 15's on my first gen 2013 TC, but unsure yet if i'm actually going to gain a smoother ride or ease of tire selection with a 16" or 17" rim.
  23. Not perfect but good condition. Pickup in SoCal/IE near 215/60 fwys.
  24. Just got notice for this from Carfax. I've got a 2021 cargo... 2025-12-17 Manufacturer Emission recall issued NHTSA: Recall: #25E06 POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE PCM REPROGRAMMING Anyone know anything more?
  25. That and cylinder deactivation. Both do not age well. Or cheaply.

    New guy

I just got one (2018, LWB, XL wagon) a couple of months ago and am happy with it. I found a lot of them for sale used at government GSA auctions, some very lightly used and in good condition. You do have to register as a GSA buyer and get verified but that's free and not hard to do. One bonus I found is that in my state (WI), the vehicle was tax exempt because I bought it from the government. Here are current upcoming TC auctions: https://marketplace.gsafleet.gov/sales/browse-vehicles?saleEventStatus=Coming+soon%2CActive&make=FORD|TRANSCON&status=0%2C1%2C2%2C3%2C4%2C5%2C6%2C7%2C8
