Tecni
2015 Transit Connect 1.6 turbo: Randomly begins to sputter and turns off. When I crank it back up, it takes a few extra seconds like as if it had lost fuel pressure and it was building back up. Then it can run perfectly fine even at highway speeds but the problem comes back again. I have replaced the fuel pump module so far but the problem persists. Someone please talk me out of replacing the fuel pump.
mrtn
Ecoboost? Very likely a leakback in the high pressure pump. I have it happen sometimes on LPG which is thinner than gasoline.
G B L
You should cycle the fuel pump while you access the valve in the fuel rail to see if there is air in the fuel line when the engine shuts off. Does this happen at randomly at all different fuel levels?

I’ll fill it up and report back
Fifty150
Sometimes the Transit Connect issues are the same issues people had with a Focus. Is there a similar Focus platform? Have Focus Ecoboost models randomly shut off? Just a hunch. I would look in Focus forums for a similar problem.
