Don Ridley
Thanks for the information. I checked my supply of parts and an air filter and oil filter have the old packaging. I compared air filters with new and old packaging and they are identical except for the mfg date: one in 2017 and one in 2019. I typically buy from Amazon and Rock Auto: never from eBay. Fifty150
I don't think eBay has any way to ensure that sellers are sending out legitimate products. Especially since eBay sellers are from all over the world. eBay does have a return policy. If something is sent to you which is not right, you are suppose to be able to return it to the seller. First you have to contact the seller, and negotiate with them about the return. The seller may not accept the return, or try to argue with you about the condition of the merchandise. Then you have other issues where you may have to pay for the return shipping. On Amazon, you can buy from other sellers, or items sold & shipped by Amazon. The return is simple and free. If you are worried about fake parts, then buy all your parts from the dealership parts counter. Edited June 5, 2021 by Fifty150
