ArtCFartC
I just noticed that my van still has the original battery after 9 years. It's dated Nov of 2010. I noticed the other 2010-2013 Transit Connects I looked at had Ford batteries. Can these batteries be expected to last unusually long, or should I start looking for a replacement before my next road trip?
Fifty150
The OEM Motorcraft battery in my F-150 lasted 10 years. It could have probably lasted longer.
mrtn
I have had a couple of OEM batteries last 9 years (Toyota and Honda).
Fifty150
My truck started and drove fine until I stopped driving it every day. Then when I went to drive it once a month, or every 6 weeks, I needed a jump start. I probably could have gone right back to driving it every day, and the alternator would have charged it right back. G B L
If the car starts fast then the batteries seem to last along time. If you have a drain say a charger that recharges drill batteries or runs a refrigerator then the shrinking capacity becomes apparent. Four to seven years is all that i get.
