windguy
see the link below about a new 2.0liter Diesel engine. looks promising for the US market, maybe. wait and see http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/ford-reveals-new-ecoblue-diesel-engine-touts-it-as-game-changing/ar-BBsiHPs?li=BBnbfcL
mrtn
First put in the Transit and Transit Custom. No mention of Connect. If there's even a slight chance of this coming to Connect I'll hit brakes on my search for the new van right now.
mrtn
Yes! http://www.autoblog.com/2016/04/26/ford-ecoblue-turbodiesel-engine-transit-van/ There will also be a 1.5-liter EcoBlue four-cylinder for smaller vehicles, and it's likely that engine will also be fitted in the Transit Connect for Europe. G B L
Sounds promising , They need to put the 2.0 in the TC to match the petrol engine Performance with a 25% fuel mileage increase. The engine looks to be good and if they have the sound and vibration in good control that will boost the appeal. They must be pushing the turbocharger very hard if they are using an Inconel rotor. I wonder what the price bump for this engine will be. Edited April 28, 2016 by G B L
