Johnyguy
Yes. Did you get the bucket seats?
Rich Arsenault
At this pace I'm averaging very close to 10k miles a year. This van should last me 12-15 years without a major expense if I keep up on the maintanence.
Rich Arsenault
They're the cloth manually adjusted bucket seats. I'm thinking about replacing them with something from a salvage yard...maybe an Escape or Fusion.
Johnyguy
Just rechecked my figures from the log book I keep in the glove box: highway mpg is 31. My bad...but still very good. Let me ask you the manual says don't check mpg until around 3000 miles on the vehicle I'm on my first tank of gas mpg pretty bad but I'm not worry because I'm on the brake in time so hopefully it will improve, since you said you keep tracking MPG when is your mpg started to improve roughly or it was good from the get go? Thanks!
Rich Arsenault
Initially I was getting 21mpg but that has steadily increased to almost 24. other than the occasional long road trip I drive exclusively in the suburbs. My commute is six miles and consists of seveal intersections/traffic lights.

Eazy
I managed 32mpg on E0 (no ethanol) fuel with an average speed of 70 on my trip to Miller Motorsports Park last weekend. On the way back I switched to E10 (didn't have a choice) and managed 29 with the same average speed. I'm going to switch back and forth a couple of times and see if that difference holds. Johnyguy
24 overallMay I ask how many miles do you have on your van ? When did you notice the mpg was increasing? The reason I'm asking is because I'm getting 290 miles to empty according to the computer on my second fil up, I don't have a trip comp on my van tocheck the MPG ,the manual says not to check mpg until 3000 miles I'm just hoping its gonna increase over time ,I drive like a grandpa and no load either in the back. Thanks!

omniphil
Got 27.5 mpg on my first tank. Don't trust the built in gauge it said 28.9mpg for that first tank. Same as my Ford Focus, the built in gauge was about 1 MPG too high. http://www.fuelly.com/ So easy to accurately track fuel and maintenance.
