john01
Hey guys is there any way to keep the rear door from staying locked? Every time we get out we can open the sliding doors but have to always unlock the rear and digging for keys with stuff in your hands can be a pain. Thanks. kmoilan1
I am guessing you have the remote entry key fob/power locks. If you do, you can set it to one step unlocking as follows and is noted in the manual page 63. Switching from two step to one step door unlocking Your vehicle comes with two step unlocking enabled. With the vehicle locked, unlocking can be switched between two step and one step door unlocking by pressing and holding both the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously on the remote entry transmitter for approximately four seconds and release. The turn signal lamps will flash twice to indicate that the vehicle has switched to one step unlocking. Repeat the procedure to switch back to two-step unlocking. Once this is done, it enables the cargo doors to unlock from the interior along with the front and sliding doors. Even though I haven't found it noted in the manual regarding this setting affecting unlocking from the interior, it has worked for me. Give it a try... isellford
Duh! Is that why Ford give you one. Also at time of delivery, the salesperson is supposed to go over a checklist and show you al of the intracacies of the vehicle.

aircuda
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I asked the Ford dealership this very thing and they said you can not change this. Maybe I should read the manual also. B)
ncranchero
Stepped Unlock Programming With the ignition switch in the OFF position, press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter simultaneously for 4 seconds. The turn signals flash twice to indicate the mode change. Repeat Step 1 to enable/disable the stepped unlocking feature. There are two--one for the passenger doors and one for the rear doors. If one looks at the KEY FOB note the lock icon and the unlock icon . Ignore the deck release icon... %^) I do not have passenger door or rear door icons on my FOB. Edited September 8, 2010 by kmoilan1

surfer99
Ok I got the doors to all unlock with ONE STEP from the inside,.... when I get OUT of the TC all the doors unlock...... however I can't get all the doors to unlock with ONE STEP using the remote from the outside, I have to push the cargo button first which opens the cargo door then I have to push the door unlock button which opens the rest of the doors, any ideas. ...... Is there a way to stop the horn from sounding when I lock the car?
