Here is the URL to the 2014 Transit Connect Body Builders Guide. It contains all the body specifications and wiring diagrams. I have found the 2010 guide very helpfull over the past years when adding non-Ford accessories, tracing wiring and making modifications. https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/topics/2014/2014_Transit_Connect_v1-0.pdf

So in looking at page 17, the additional switch appears to be for the Taxi is available light in the sign on the roof.

Is there something that shows another switch where the driver can turn the lights on for the passengers and I can't see it?

Thanks,

carlb28, sorry, I do not have the wiring diagram manual for the 2nd generation in the US, Transit Connects. That is what is needed to show the exact wiring for the taxi rear cabin lighting and its switch. The body builders guide just shows a general layout of the wiring without going into detail.

The workshop manual shows the location of the switch, once again, sorry, I do not have the 2nd generation workshop manual.

Have any forum members purchased the Wiring and Workshop manuals for the 2014 or 2015 Transit Connects? We can use some help. Thanks.

I just got my 2015 Transit Connect Wagon last week and ordering the wiring diagram book from Helm was one of the first things I did.

The book arrived yesterday. Here's photos of the interior lighting section and the customer access (aka Taxi) section.

I'm confused. The first diagram shows "luggage compartment" lights.I only have the 3 overhead lights in my 2015 LWB wagon.

I think they mean what I'm used to calling reading lights. The connector diagram in the book shows the location to be in the middle of the overhead console.
