Problem with going to a UK supplier is the mirror glass would be all wrong A UK complete mirror assembly would be for THEIR passenger side since they drive on the left [we drive on the right] One would have to go to a non-English speaking country to order the correct mirror assembly Most countries have a VAT. Dealerships are not equipped or know how to ship less VAT Shipping would be horrendous $$$ To 103west43rd: Thank you for the mirror part numbers. I did not know the TC had a manual mirror. maybe it is for the cargo van TO get a VIN for any year just go on Ebay and copy down the VIn for a TC that is for sale I think I am going to reconfirm the mirror number for the right side and order it Those are nice safety items

Two possible part numbers for the right hand [passenger side ] mirror are BT1Z-17K707-A the other possibility is BT1Z-17K707-C The EPC [electronic Parts Catalog] is not clear what the true difference is To be sure, go down to a Ford dealer with your VIN [ of a 2011 or 2012 TC] and ask and come back and tell here There is someone that has a really neat mirror setup for the TC Seems the OEM mirror get removed, but the 'frame' stays put and a two mirror rig is secured, one for regular and the other for blind spot, both seemed the same size

Here is a picture of the 2010 mirror In so far as releasing the tabs the backs are identical to the 2011/2012 Ford says release the red and pink tabs but I did the red and yellow tabs Rotate the mirror to gain the most clearance Use a thin flat blade screwdriver You must use a flashlight to see what is going on. No need to press on the tab but simply wedge the two pieces of plastic apart Once two tabs are released just pull the mirror out Click on the thumbnail to expand the picture

Mikeeshaq replied to skurtz's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
GOT IT! The Ford part number for the 2011 / 2012 driver side outside mirror that fits the 2010 TC is BT1Z-17K707-D and I replaced mine today Got this off E bay -
I just finished installing a 2011/2012 drivers side outside mirror on my 2010 TC 2011/2012 mirrors had the blind spot incorporated into them Part number is BT1Z-17K707-D I found this on Ebay Installation is not bad providing that you have access to the service manual Which I could copy the page and scan the thing upon request Tilt the mirror up all the way and release two tabs on the bottom Instead I released the two tabs on the outside Then pull mirror out Push new mirror in

How to do my own Fob Key.
Mikeeshaq replied to Ronan O'Brien's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs & Remote Start
You MUST have two programmed keys to program another key The reason for this is so no one that you lend a key to can copy your key Otherwise you have to take it to a dealer -
I use the cubby hole for Toll receipts that I need for my expense report

The TC engine is made in Spain while the TC transmission is made in the USA

Antenna replacement?
Mikeeshaq replied to Phillip M. Kancianic's topic in Audio, Navigation and SYNC
Have you though of using an antenna motor drive mount? Specifically: Diamond Antenna, K9000. The different letters at the end [e.g. K9000LRM] refer to the different ways to mount this on a vehicle cost: ~ $110.00 -
Remember folks If you got a TC factory radio that you don't want anymore even if it doesn't work- make me an offer. I need it to gut the radio out and have a false panel to hide my amateur radio control head

Key blank or replacement
Mikeeshaq replied to TClary's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs & Remote Start
See my post of Jan 1 2011 "Determining the Ford Tibbe Key Code" There will be the rare locksmith that can cut these keys. Dealers have to have Motrcraft USA to cut keys. To the best of my knowledge nobody in Houston cuts these Keys I did list one outfit that will cut keys in my post -
2012 XLT Premium? Lucky dog! I have a 2010 TC. The price for each of those plastic molded pieces that have the slot is $150 each, so adding those to my van seems out of reach. The dealership should have a brochure/list of after market customizers. I am sure one of those will be able to make something up. It sure wont be 'off the shelf' but that will be $$$

I looked at my 2010 Ford TC Workshop Manual and it gives no clue how the tubing is routed -

Sliding door flip open windows
Mikeeshaq replied to Blackdog's topic in Accessories and Modifications
Huh? I know in the Premium wagon with windows in the back quarter that the windows can be cracked open but I wasn't aware that the glass in the sliding doors can be opened. I have the EPC [Electronic parts Catalog] and I will see if I can see this option Ok I looked in my EPC, the Ford EPC is a little confusing. The illustration shows two glass windows and where it shows the an hinge on the window, then it makes reference to 3rd row window. I don't think that flip windows exist on the sliding door BUT if you DO see it note the VIN because then I can plug the VIn into my EPC and then only the parts associated with that VIN appear You can also go to www.fordparts.com to try to figure it out except it will not give the complete part number Well I went to www.fordparts.com and the hinge glass does not make reference to 3rd row glass Ordering those pieces of glass ,if by mistake, would be very expensive at ~~$500 per window The most I have been able to do is order and install the handholds above each door, like on 2011 TC. I have a 2010 TC -
I tell people that inquire about my TC It ain't a Cadillac [nice quiet smooth ride] (which I would never buy) It ain't a Hummer [ pull / haul anything] (which I would never buy) And it ain't a tin can with 4 wheels that gets 40 mpg (which I would never buy) It is something in between that is just right for me!

I am currently trying to find a TC that has fog lights. Even for 2011 , fog lights may only be for the top of the line van. Anyway I want to see how the fog lights are attached from behind the bumper
