  1. Anyone color match their emblems to the exterior paint color? Thinking of doing it to the "Transit Connect" and "XLT" emblems on the rear door
  2. Curious how fast people have gone in their Connect.
  3. I had my rotors turned at 125k since the rotors were squeeling. Pads were good. Turning the rotors took care of the squeal. That said i think ill do Bendix semi-metallic pads and electrophoretic coated rotors in Spring to improve the emergency stopping power. After this many miles the rotors dont looks so good. Being in a northern climate, they've become pretty rusty

  6. Anyone have an recommendations on a remote starts that's simple to install? I like the idea of getting a factory OEM kit but not sure if that's more of a pain than and aftermarket kit.
  7. I see that Spiral Audio sells a dash kit which eliminates the 4.2" screen and in place, there is a small cubby. I'd like to do this as i'm installing an aftermarket radio. What exactly will i lose? I'm looking at the Wiring + SWC Retention (+$59.99) option. I should say... i don't have radio controls on my steering wheel. So would i just be buying the Wiring + SWC Retention harness to keep the vans chime sounds? https://www.spiralaudio.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1306&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIo5zJx-yO5AIVuSCtBh2rGA0iEAQYAiABEgLS-_D_BwE

    Eliminating 4.2" screen on a 2015

Some carbon vinyl covered up the light nicely
  9. Anyone tint their windshield? I'm looking at doing 55% or 70% ceramic tint. I have 15% on sides now

Finally got the passenger airbag light in (BK2Z-10A936-B) Gosh this thing is obnoxious. I might have to spray paint it black or put tape over the light

    14+ battery longevity

I have a 2015 with about 126k. Northern climate. The other day something gave me pause to wonder if my battery was losing some strength. I wonder how many ppl are still on the original battery
  12. I've heard of several ppl putting hammocks in their van to sleep on. I cant figure out where ppl are attaching the hammock at the front. Does anyone have pictures?

    Trans Temp Gauge on 14+?

Is there a factory temp sensor that one could tap into, to read the tranny temp on a 2014+?

    Trans Temp Gauge on 14+?

Sounds like OBDLink MX+ is the way to go. I use to have a BlueDrive Scan Tool ($100) that was similar to the OBDLink but it got stolen when my car got stolen, lol. Didn't have that tool for very long. It was underwhelming as far as features go. Maybe they've improved it but it was way overrated IMO when i bought it in 2016

Thanks guys. That looks pretty slick and easy. What OBD2 adapter are you using?

Does my 2014 XLT have bluetooth?

It might be more sensible to just swap out the factory radio for an aftermarket. The sound quality improvement and features would blow away the factory stuff. Plus you could get Bluetooth phone calls and the deck come with a mic Kenwood eXcelon DPX793BH $129 Axxess XSVI-5524-NAV harness $40 Antenna adapter $6 schoche transit connect dash kit $90 But then again, getting SYNC in your van might be super cheap....
  22. Where did you find that wheel chock? Brand?

    Eliminating 4.2" screen on a 2015

That's actually totally wrong. Almost every aftermarket radio comes with Sirius Radio as an option. I bet you could get Sirius and a much better sounding aftermarket stereo with dash kit and wiring harness for $300 Just give Crutchfield a ring on your rotary dial telephone and they'll tell you exactly what you need. Just tell them what you drive, what you want (Sirius), and the price you want to pay, and there experts will tell you what to buy. Their experts are super knowledgeable and extremely helpful... much easier than trying to figure it out on your own
  24. Remove it, and replace it with a welded in flat bar for more clearance.
