I turned mine down. So far no more complaining from oncoming traffic. I did use a TORX head to make the adjustment but the receiver head is not TORX. Mine turned down by turning the adjuster CLOCKWISE. -

Glad tto see I'm not the only one getting flashed from oncoming motorists all the time. Looks like it's time for and adjustment ! -
Thanks for the post !!!! I'll give it a try !!

Sounds like your cage is the same as mine was. I could get the seat to go back all the way but then I couldn't recline it far enough to be comfortable. I think I'll just go without for a while and see if it works out. My first van was a 68 Dodge A-100. Wide tires, chrome wheels, shag carpet and great big speakers for the stereo. Ash tray always had a custom fill also. This one is strictly a work van. :-)

Welcome to the forum !! Couple of questions. Your second picture show a safety screen behind the front seats. Any trouble with sliding the seats far enough back ? I had one in my first TC and just couldn't get far enough back to be comfortable. Third photo shows a "full size" TC. Would that be the same as an E-150 here ? Again, Welcome to the forum !!

Mine feels about the same as all the other vehicles I drive.

Thanks for the reply KN. You are echoing my concern. My guess is it's something in the sound deadening insulation (I know there's not much). I have sprayed the carpet with FEBREZE and I don't think the plastic trim could emit that much odor. Anybody else with the smell and any cures ?

Not sure a manual transmissions would improve anything but it would be more fun to drive. JMHO!

Is it just the cargo vans ?? I have had an XL and an XLT, both cargo vans. They smell like rotting meat inside. I got them about a month apart from different dealers. Does anyone else have this ?? If you did, were you able to get rid of it ??????
-
Thanks !! Sad part is I read it in the manual and didn't think this was what they meant so I didn't try it.

Just looked at the date of the post. You probably already figured it out!

I just had a MIFI XM added. The installer said it too a Volkswagon key to pull the radio. Different than normal as this required a pull and spread rather than just pull.

Things that could be improved on the TC

A drivers side sun visor that could be extended to cover the side window. It's a little too short. I solved the problem with a CD carrier. Seems like a really low cost fix and high on the creature comfort scale. -
I see a couple of recommendations for synthetic oil. Anyone have any reservations on using synthetic oil before 10,000 miles. Also, I just got mine. Where is the oil filter located and what tools are needed?

I'd like the back double doors to be one door that opened up from the bottom like the freestar. Helped me stay out of the weather when putting a load together AT the customer. Another vote for Diesel. -
Your right. It's going in Monday. Just thought I'd see if anyone else had a similar problem.
-
I'm really new to the forum, but let me say welcome !!!!!!! I'm hoping for good winter handling as well. Just got mine and no snow here yet.

I have the same van. No cruise is a pain. Had an aftermarket one added (don't know the name) now i have a transmission problem. Since I know these things are drive by wire the two issues may be connected. I'll post the name later.
-
Feels like first gear is slipping when I step on the gas. At first I thought it might be the drive by wire feeling now I'm not so sure. When I restart from a stop it will move slower than it should and then kick in kind of hard. Doesn't do it all the time. Anyone else with similar issues ??

New owner of a cargo TC here. Look like a couple of issues with either the transmission or accelerator right out of the lot almost but I still like it.

The accelerator lag is why i joined the forum. No A/C problems so far.
