For sale custom-made Ford Transit Connect motorcycle hauling platform. This fits the first generation Transit Connect from 2010 to 2013. This was a 3/16" aluminum custom-made platform to haul my race bike to the track. It fits bikes up to 80" long. The front wheel is held in place by a condor wheel chock. The wheel chock has been modified to bridge over the transmission housing in the van. Holes are drilled so that the stock seat hardware can be used to hold down the platform as well as the cargo tie downs in the back. It is very secure. This was actually featured in Motorcyclist magazine in 2011. $600 obo (probably can't ship this unless someone wants to arrange all of the logistics). I am in the SF Bay Area and can meet anyone for a local sale. I also have a Ford OEM service manual for the first generation Ford Transit Connect. This is a paper printed manual not a CD or something. $40 I have a set of brand new rear brake shoes never installed. $40 I have all three motor mounts brand new OEM. So if your transit is getting a lot of vibrations it might be time to renew the mounts. $60

Wife checked it and said it's always been that way. Maybe I never noticed it until I was looking for something?

Hi, I just replaced my steering pump and rack myself. Put it back together and I now have steering play like you describe. Everything from the intermediate shaft down is tight. I'll have to start checking above. I can see where something would come loose when wrestling out the rack. Where is this white colored guard you speak of?

Was there ever an official recall or service bulletin on this issue. I think my TC might have it. I need to check if this is the specific issue.

Didn't the first boosted motor grenade with stock internals?

Front RH wheel bearing replaced under warranty. The cab is 'quiet' once again.

Thanks 103West. So people must be getting these good willed. I am hoping I will be able to as my transit has less than 25k on it and is still under warranty.

Actually members Stimr2, Z71Mudder, hogrider03, bikesag have all had wheel bearings replaced under warranty. So maybe your Euro-spec van is the exception to the rule? Can someone with a U.S. spec van weigh in? I am looking to determine if the dealer listed a technical service bulletin number on the repair order or if the replacement was goodwill or what? Fix was good....and there is no longer any wind noise from the top of the door like there was after the last time they fixed it!

Hey all is there a TSB or recall on front wheel bearings? I suspect mine are shot. Vibrations are getting louder in the front at 25k miles. I just wanted a bulletin number or some ammo to take into the dealer. Thanks...

The 3-way speakers made a HUGE difference! Thanks Tranzy. I notice that they are much more clear at the higher volumes needed at highway speeds.

Never mind, it was super easy. The 3 way speakers made a huge difference! I am impressed, the sound quality at higher speeds, where the volume has to be louder to combat road noise, is much improved! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to upgrade their sound system for less than $55.

So I took the van home, the noise was still present after it sat overnight. SO I mentioned the noise again when I came in a week later when they were going to install the weather stripping they had ordered. They said they would do the TSB again, and despite that, the noise is still there. They couldn't fix it.

Truck is at the dealership now, they're checking the rear brake drum noise according to the TSB. The clunky screeching noise.

I am the original poster on this one....and yep the door seal weather stripping fell off again. I think last time Albany Ford just sorta winged it b/c there was not TSB for it yet?? I don't know? Hopefully they follow the TSB this time, if they weren't able to last time. Truck is in service now. I'll update.
