  1. I am already working with a cab company in Houston. In March of next year all new licenses have to get a minimum 23 combined mpg which fits the TC perfectly.
  2. TC's are imported with seats installed because of the tariffs. The seats are removed and ground up for recycling as it is more cost effective than shipping them back. The subfloor and floor mat are than installed.
  3. That's a new one on me. I do a lot of night driving and I have neverf encountered that. I've heard complaints the other way that the lights are not bright enough.
  4. Welcome to the site and good luck with your TC.
  5. I have been in touch with a company that has a wheelchair adaptable TC. They lowered the floor, come up with a composite ramp, and have already gone through crash testing. The unit should be available soon. I will post additional information both here and on my website as it becomes available. It is compatible with the 5 passenger wagon configuration.
  6. The HGAC is a buying cooperative available to any government agency or non profit. It is no cost to join. There is a fee added on any vehicle purchase. The nice thing about it is that the bidding process has already beed done so it satisfies the bid requiremt in most jurisdictions. you can google search H-GAC and find their website for more information. They currently have members in 40 states. We can add any type of inverter that you would require.
  7. The TC is only available with dual sliding doors. In Houston there is a cooperative called the HGAC which is active in 40 states for government and non profit agencies for buying everything from pencils to vehicles. I am the contractor foe quite a few different vehicles on the various contracts from F150's to Econoline's to wildfore brush trucks and airport quick response crash trucks. The ambulance and special service vehicle contract is coming up for renewal and we are adding the TC as several specialty units.
  8. Link was unavailable when i tried to open it.
  9. Welcome to the boards. Funny you should mention that. There is a co-operative Govt. bid that is coming out for ambulances and special service vehicles. We are already on the contreact with many purpose built units such as SWAT, mobile command centers, light rescues units, etc. We are working with a local body builder to have 3 distinct vehicles included in the next contract on the Transit Connect chassis; an Accident Investigative Unit, A Transit Triage Unit , and a CSI Unit.
