Hvac SuperTech
I have an xlt TC with the 6000 CD radio. It has a button marked with a phone that mutes the sound only, I thought I had the Bluetooth capability. Scrolling through the advanced options, I only see"clip on or clip off" available. So do I have the Bluetooth option or not?
Dave H
Most likely not. Mine has the (marginally functional) Nokia Bluetooth option. Theres a microphone on the driver's A pillar and an additional stalk on the steering column for voice recognition and other radio controls. Top Cat
I am adding a question to Hvac Super Tech's question. Does anyone know what that CLIP feature is in the 6000 CD radio? I set mine to "ON," but I have no idea what it is that I set!
103west43rd
Hello Top Cat (its been awhile!). I am sure you checked the owners manual, but just in case...... On the radio....... ADV MENU: When ADV MENU (Advanced menu) appears in thedisplay, press and hold MENU to access the following features:• NEWS ON/OFF: News features are not available in the U.S. andCanada markets.• CLIP ON/OFF: Press to turn nominal volume levels on/off.• VEHICLE ID: Press to view the vehicle’s VIN number.• BT ON/OFF: Press to turn Bluetooth ON/OFF (if equipped). "CLIP AUDIO" in audio speak means when trying to drive the audio amplifier past its maximum output, the audio is "CLIPPED" at the amplifers maximum output. Campcrazy
I'm wondering the same thing. I've got a 2013 TC xlt cargo van. Its the one with a CD mp3 player. It has a phone button and I followed the manual to link my phone to it via Bluetooth but when I press the phone button it only says "no phone". I can't see or get to any of the functions the manual shows how to use to link this particular radio. Yes the picture of the radio matches but I suspect there are versions of this radio without Bluetooth but they still come with a non functional phone button? mrtn
The Ford 6000 CD head unit has phone buttons even if it wasn't equipped with the bluetooth module. You can check your VIN here: https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do (Vehicle > Vehicle lookup) It should give a list of the full configuration, for example "BT/VC Phone Interface Only" if equipped with the module.
