goldfilm
I have a Ford Transit Connect 2014 XLT Long wheelbase blue with black roof plugs on the railing. One of them is cracked and leaks. I'm trying to fix the issue. a) I can't find the plug replacement. Any leads to a website or part number? b) How to dry and absorb the water? c) Should I use a sealant like Great Stuff before covering it again? d) Should I use Eternabond or duct tape to cover the plug? e) If I can't find plugs, is it enough with sealant and tape? f) Depending on what I use, would it be easy to remove if the next owner or I want to install a rack? Thanks!
davidparker
if its a cargo version, you can pull the plug out and put in a stainless steel bolt with a rubber washer under it.
Fifty150
The dealership will have the plug. You will pay more. A ring of silicone around the hole should work just fine. You could probably just lift the cap, apply silicone, then replace the cap.
