Northern California dealership putting a near $4000 markup above MSRP on 2019 Transit Connect

Northern California dealership putting a near $4000 markup above MSRP (with no added equip, just a premium), wonder what is their rationale, shortages relative to demand on specific trims (this is on a Titanium)?

That's just a sticker.  Nobody pays sticker pricing.  That only serves to set a higher asking price, because the buyer will ask for a lower purchase price.  Then they find a way to work in rebates, and still turn a profit.  In some cases, the rebate is their profit.

That's where you balk at the price, tell the dealer, "For that kind of money, I could drive a Mercedes Metris.  I wouldn't give you more than $$$XXX out the door!"

Well, except for maybe, that 1 guy who does pay sticker.
