I have a 2004 transit connect with a tddi engine. The body is ruff so I want to fit my engine in a newer year. If the van I am fitting it in has a tdci engine then will my tddi engine fit or are the Mounts different. Any help would be very useful.

I do not have any pictures of the engine you have. Is the Camshaft driven by a toothed rubber belt or a Chain.  In any event  if the  tensioner was not  doing its job 100% it could allow the timing to Jump and might not wreck the belt.
