Kirky229
I have a 2004 transit connect with a tddi engine. The body is ruff so I want to fit my engine in a newer year. If the van I am fitting it in has a tdci engine then will my tddi engine fit or are the Mounts different. Any help would be very useful. mountainman
I'm curious about this too, though I'm wondering if the diesel engines in the 2019 vans can be installed in older models.

G B L
I do not have any pictures of the engine you have. Is the Camshaft driven by a toothed rubber belt or a Chain. In any event if the tensioner was not doing its job 100% it could allow the timing to Jump and might not wreck the belt.
mrtn
Sounds like a tensioner malfunction if the belt was good.
