Nomechanic
Does anyone know how to turn off the endless "alarms" that Ford is so fond of installing. I don't need my vehicle to constantly remind me that I've unhooked my seatbelt, opened the door... or that my keys are in the ignition. It's maddening. While I am on here, my 2013 Transit Connect idles low (around 700) and stalls after a sudden stop. The idle is so low that the whole van rattles while in park. I have had one mechanic (a really good one) tell me there is little that can be done because the idle is set by the computer. Does anyone know what can can be done to take the idle up to 900 or 1000? Thanks! Edited October 10, 2018 by Nomechanic

I don't have a solution for you Nomechanic, but I can certainly feel your pain. All this fluff and puff nonsense just drives me nuts. There may be something in the manual that might help with at least some of the nuisance "enhancements".
G B L
If the van stalls check the IAC[ idle air control] If that is not functioning it could cause a stall and a low idle.
Fifty150
The seat belt chime can be turned off. That's usually in the owners manual. The key in the ignition chime turns off when you remove the key.

For the 2016 model, this is on page 33. Page 41 for 2013 model. Edited October 11, 2018 by OLDSCHOOLFOOL
