2014 and Newer 6 Speed Select Shift...select first, is it supposed to hang?  My 2016 hangs in first in "S" mode...my understanding if it remained in first long enough with high rpms it should upshift, I haven't challenged that yet....maybe held it at 4k revs then got nervous

4k won't shift it in S mode if you are standing on it 5600-6000 will do it.

If you saw my trip in the mountains post, you'd see I was often running it at 5000rpm to gain speed uphill.

once you select a speed with the push button, it will stay there until the car's computer decides you are endangering the engine. I've not tried to force it to upshift that way, but I did have it downshift on me a couple times when coming to a stop. Then it stayed in first gear and really reved the engine up before I pushed it into Auto.

Ah...good to know..i'm really liking this 2.5 and  6F35 match.
