Drifter
My 2012 transit connect is running rough. It starts fine on high idle then when goes to low idle it drops to 750 rpm and runs real rough. My code reader says "Misfire Cylinder 3" I have changed plugs and put a new coilpack on cylinder 3 and does not help. the van runs fine on highway but idles bad when stopped. The van has 175000 miles and has been a maintence nightmare. Any suggestions???

vitalys
How do you service EGR? I have my jerks and stumbles around 2200 rpm. No codes come up. I have 162k miles on my 2012 transit.
escobar
im having the same problem. I did a compression test and found that cylinder has only about 85psi where the others have close to 200. I am going to replace the rings on the piston. Can this be done from dropping the oil pan? thanks
Roberts801
Did anyone find a solution to the misfire? I have a 2014 Transit Connect XLT 2.5l. Replaced EGR valve, test drove, everything was fine. Decided to do plugs and coil packs now cylinder #3 has a misfire. Checked gap and swapped around coil packs and same issue.
