tinman
Having a hard time figuring out how to diagnose which sensor is the one saying its open. It would be really helpful to know where the module is that controls the door open protocols. Has anyone successfully jumped out the door sensors? At the module? Only locally at the switch? Obviously buying a $300+ door latch is out of the question when the only issue is that it reads as open. If anyone has any advice on how to proceed with this process it would be greatly appreciated
Nancy444
I am having the same issue. I think it's my passenger front door and driver's sliding door. I try to lock it with the fob and it locks and then unlocks and the light is on that a door is open. Ugh.

Now if it was Dorothy, it would be another story. 🙄 It would be helpful to know what model year your TC is (Gen 1 or 2)? Which door(s)? There has been some discussion over the years regarding door sensors. Give the search option a try.
JackGrimshaw
Door sensors are on all vehicles and TC owners are very small subset. I suggest you search a wider audience to get a better understanding of how to troubleshoot any door sensor. I'm sure the technology is pretty standard across all vehicles. BSFixFTC
lol, tinman taking shots at the community having this issue on 2012 and from researching it is common -sensors dirty < try spraying/cleaning locking mechanisms w wd40 -wiring issues < try using a multimeter to determine which is bad or acting up -replace mechanisms < salvage yard probably best price (test if fail return), eBay more $, but no guarantees -bypass sensor at wiring harness < see wiring guide & online videos (below is one) https://youtu.be/lsyo_tKNInY?si=dq8zs6gkjS18c26a
