hey folks! my interior dash lights and rear, exterior lights suddenly stopped working at the same time the other day on our 2010 Connect. after reading a few posts i tried replacing the Headlight/Headlamp Switch and it unfortunately didn't do the trick. the brake lights still work in the back, just not the regular lights, so not ideal for driving at night! any other ideas before i give up and take it in to the shop? thanks so much i appreciate your help! nick

Hello ! My Ford Transit Connect is having what I think are electrical issues. Sometimes I go to start the van and it will act as if the battery is completely dead. No clicks of the engine trying to start and I can’t turn on my inside lights. The battery is brand new replaced earlier this year. I definitely am not leaving my lights on or draining the battery. Today I got in to start it after being in a gas station for 5 mins and nothing would come on, even the inside lights. I randomly decided go open my door and then the lights inside turned on . SO WEIRD because using the switch inside didn’t do anything. So I tried to start it and all of a sudden it started (a few clicks almost like it didn’t want to?) . This happened a month ago I thought I left my lights on , went back the next day to jump the battery and it just started . Anyone else had weird issues like this before ??? Every so often a random fuse blows and I can’t get my van to go out of park until I change the fuse. (This happened before the not starting). Thanks for any tips !!!

I bought a 2012 transit that had the dash replaced after a small fire. The seller told me he also replaced the wiring harness. My main problem is that i'm getting DTC codes for no communication to RCS and TPM. Along with that there are a few other weird bugs. No turn signal dash lights, (they work in the self test), no ac or recirculation (buttons work when monitored in forscan) no door chime or any chimes, and lastly no fuel gauge. (circuit open). I replaced the RCS module and no cigar. I noticed while looking through the shop manual that NONE of the MS-CAN modules show up on my scanner, so I measured the DTC connector MS-CAN termination resistance and its within spec of 55-66 omhs. I'm pretty lost here. any help would be great. I also have a code for the MS-CAN, U0010.

I just bought a 2011 TC XLT and am having problems with the lock/unlock mechanism using the key in the driver side door. I turn it to lock, and I can hear that it locks all the doors as it is supposed to, but before I can even remove the key from the door, the drivers door unlocks again. In other words, I can't figure out how to lock the drivers door...it's like it is sensing it needs to unlock itself? The van had been modified by the prior owner with wires to the rooftop, and a couple more that ran the meter, but those items have been removed. It makes me wonder if there is an electrical issue, and if so, any tips on finding and fixing? Also to note, if I don't turn the key in the door and watch to see that the radio and dash lights turn off, and walk away with them on, the car won't start when I come back. I have to make sure I have turned the key the right way, even though it isn't locking. Sorry, hard to follow the problem here, but at this point, I'd almost rather just disable all automatic locking and/or disable all the wires that aren't currently connected to anything important. Electrical issues can really wear a guy out!

Hello: A friend has a 2014 pasenger car version, XL, not the titanium version. The upper shelf has what appears to be a punchout for a radio, with a protective shell behind it. What was it used for? What existing wiring is up there already? It looks like a good spot to put a 2mtr/440 box; On a lower level where is good under the dash to tap off 13vdc say 5A for various gadgets? I've seen discussions here on fuse panel locations but I'm not sure if they refer to his generation or the original.
