Was able to access the nut via the dome light opening. The nut conveniently stayed connected to the wire which made reinstullation quite easy. Unscrewed the nut with an 8mm deepwell socket. Popped the old base off, from the outside, and clicked the new one back on. Reattached the nut from the inside. Easy... The old one was definitely leaking.

Hopefully it is this nut, accessed under the overhead light.

Anyone know how to replace the plastic base of the front, mast antenna? (2021) https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts/ford-aerial-without-cable_av1z-18813-a.html?vin=&make=Ford&model=Transit Connect&year=2021&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=() Mine has cracks in it. Getting water dripping through the housing for the windshield's sensors. I thought it was from a bad glass seal. While caulking I found the cracks. Caulking didn't help...

You once claimed you damaged your windshield when you tried to remove the tint. Why is that? -

Riv nuts or plus nuts for existing holes
BSJBSJ replied to Chip's topic in Transit Connect Member Custom Builds
There are already some m10 and m6 threaded holes in the upper back sides and above the side doors. I just installed some more m6 rivet nuts at the rear bottom sides, in existing holes, by the back doors. The center cross beam has two existing holes that will fit m8 rivet nuts. The others are too small for m6. I would have to drill more holes or enlarge what's already there. The two m8s are enough for me in that location so I don't see adding more nuts. I wouldn't go smaller than m6 unless it was meant for very light weight things. I used this tool. Amazon.com: Rivet Nut Tool, 13" Hand Rivnut Tool Kit with 7 Metric & Inch Mandrel M5 M6 M8 M10,10-24,1/4-20,5/16-18, Nutsert Rivet Tool Set with 35 Pcs Assorted Rivnuts, ORFELD Threaded Insert Hand Riveter : Automotive Decent quality. Has worked well for the m6 stainless nuts that I've installed. Similar to these. No. Just rubbed it and left noticeable scuff marks. First "scratch" on the 1.25 year old vehicle. Detailed it less than 12 hours before hand. I knew I was tempting fate by cleaning it!!!

Use whatever is recommended in your manual. They were making a joke about misspelling Mobil with Mobile.

Someone backed into my 2021. They just rubbed the corner cap(?) and the rear bumper. Thankfully missed all metal! Is it fairly easy to replace the bumper and corner part? Insurance is covering it. But I could get myself paid to replace the parts rather than a shop... Are there any hidden gotchas?

I managed to break the radio antenna on my 2021 cargo van. Has anyone replaced theirs with something as effective as the OEM, but not so skinny and fragile? And or more flexible...?
