In the fine print, there's an explanation that 17682 (for example) is only a portion of the full Ford part number and that the full part number will be provided on the receipt for future reference. Notice in this screenshot that all the mirror assemblies are showing part number 17682... I think that number, in the Ford part systems, represents "assembly, mirror" and then there's additional numbers for each different size & type (manual/power/heated/etc). I just wanted to add this clarification so nobody calls their Ford dealer asking about mirror 17682, lol

I've mostly only noticed the large mirrors on fleet TC's around my area (northern IL) and a couple of wagons, although I don't specifically pay attention to TC mirrors while driving, haha. Here's a used passenger side one on Ebay that I found. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-TRANSIT-CONNECT-Right-Door-Mirror-Power-large-14-15-15J0861-/381554926615?fits=Model%3ATransit+Connect Doing some internet searching, it appears as though these are the correct dual glass 'large' mirrors, but I'm not sure if the cover is included (front side of mirror when on vehicle). These ones are manual mirrors, not power. Unfortunately, it doesn't show the full part numbers on the website. http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/PartDetail.aspx?n=xYvC3w0iU0ojGyohcJJ0uA%3d%3d&id=345273664&m=2&search=true&year=2014&make=Ford&model=Transit%20Connect http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/PartDetail.aspx?n=k6PwsPjChL0NJ9X%2bBfGCBA%3d%3d&id=343271996&m=2&search=true&year=2014&make=Ford&model=Transit%20Connect

I bet you have these mirrors, too? My panel van has them & I wish that the panel vans had the tall mirrors with bigger blind-spot mirrors as standard equipment. For reference, my van only has windows in the front, none at all behind the driver/passenger. And these are the optional mirrors for 2nd gen TC's that I personally think should be standard for panel vans... I want to find a pair for my van when I have enough extra money in the ole wallet, haha.

Huh, I haven't noticed A-pillar problems, myself - I'm about 6ft tall. Then again, I've had a 2003 F350 crew-cab long-bed previously and one time the driver-side A-pillar on that beast hid an entire car turning left in front of me until the car was in my direct sight-line! We initially approached a fairly large stop sign intersection from opposing directions, but they were then turning left while I was going straight. Each road has two lanes going straight plus left & right turn lanes... I bet that driver had same names to call me for driving straight at them, lol - but I did hit the brakes when I finally noticed them, still a good 60+ feet away at 10mph.

Hole in the floor (but in a good? way)

Hard to tell from the little pics, but I'm thinking it looks great lol. Gives me some more storage ideas for my 15 TC, thank you! One of these days soon, I need to clean out the 'stuff' I have in mine so I can pull out the mat & platform in my van and figure out how well my ideas would actually work. But, at least I only have around 125-150 lbs of stuff instead of 800 lbs like "G B L" has! -
Thank you, sir! Hard to keep track of the names across the pond

I read somewhere on this website that the stock roof holes for 2014+ Transit Connect (Turneo over there?) are 6mm by 12mm oblong, except the pair over the driver compartment is round holes. I'm not sure which generation of the van you have and if the OEM holes were used or somebody drilled their own. Perhaps something similar to this (sized properly, of course) would seal up the holes for you if they were drilled. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rawlplug-240-Card-Rawlnuts-30mm/dp/B0001P0KAO Here's lots of different types/sizes of the "Rawl Plugs", perhaps you'll find something useful... http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Ddiy&field-keywords=Rawlplug+rubber&rh=n%3A79903031%2Ck%3ARawlplug+rubber

Some people call the hook a "purse hook" lol. I've had a few vehicles with it. What I use the hook for is to hold a grocery shopping bag as a garbage bag. Although most bags seem to be a little on the tall side for the hook location, my bag fell off a couple times until it had a decent amount of stuff in it.

Pretty sweet set-up! I've had ideas twirling around in my head for my panel van for better storage and organization. For now, I'm using a mid-size pick-up aluminum toolbox that's strapped long-ways into the van so it doesn't move around. My plans are to create an aluminum diamondplate bulkhead & custom toolbox in the back - I should pick-up some sheets of cardboard or Lauan plywood to test-fit and create templates... Any plans to fill-in the gaps on the sides so your dogs don't get their legs stuck? Maybe some of the panel rigid insulation from Home Depot/etc cut down to fill the gap perfectly? My old Doberman got himself caught in my extended-cab Ranger once, so that's why I ask

Roof attachment points on 2014 Transit Connect
jrm223 replied to hdrider's topic in 2014 Ford Transit Connect
So I came across this forum this morning while researching personal issues that I have with my '15 TC (like those stupid perimeter lights when the doors are open!) and saw this thread while searching for roof rack options. Originally, I was figuring I'd do the VanTech J1203B 3.25" permanent racks (http://vantech.us/Transit-Connect-2014-On-J1000-rack-3-Bar-50-bars-Black-J1203B.htm) since I'm not paying Ford a grand for just rails. Then I saw the post earlier about universal rails, so I searched VanTech website for the universal rails and found that they now have 69.5" TC-specific rails, although it doesn't specify what years they fit, but the site does indicate that it lines up with the factory holes, at least. http://vantech.us/Vantech-Ford-transit-connect-roof-tracks-695-Silver-R16.htm?categoryId=-1 This could at least be another good option for those that want rails with sliding cross-bars. (Edit to follow topic)
