  1. Same here. I just chalk it up to it not being a luxury vehicle.
  2. Like I said earlier, a small bike fits fine but anything with a tall windshield or a mid-size and up cruiser or sport tourer won't work. Too bad because all other things considered it's a great van. If I wanted a van for primarily motorcycle transport I'd check out the full size Ram or the big Transit.
  3. Same here, but I've been looking for a set of Volvo wheels for my 2014 TC cargo van. Most will fit and there are plenty to choose from. Try this site: http://forums.swedespeed.com/forumdisplay.php?48-Wheels-Tires-Classifieds
  4. Not to be a jerky internet guy but the author really needs a proof reader and an editor. His basic sentence structure is very poor and makes for difficult reading. I do like his take on the van however.
  5. I have about 5400 miles, and according to my record book I'm getting a bit more than 1 1/2 mpg more now than I was right off the lot.
  6. No problem....but then again I avoided the highway and there's no hills around here.
  7. Well over 1,000lbs in my LWB. I own a pizza place and this is about 4 days worth of flour.
  8. Initially I was getting 21mpg but that has steadily increased to almost 24. other than the occasional long road trip I drive exclusively in the suburbs. My commute is six miles and consists of seveal intersections/traffic lights.
  9. They're the cloth manually adjusted bucket seats. I'm thinking about replacing them with something from a salvage yard...maybe an Escape or Fusion.
  10. At this pace I'm averaging very close to 10k miles a year. This van should last me 12-15 years without a major expense if I keep up on the maintanence.
  11. Just rechecked my figures from the log book I keep in the glove box: highway mpg is 31. My bad...but still very good.
  12. No..just did the math. Cruise control and virtually no traffic or hills. I was surprised myself.
  13. I now have 5k on my 2014 LWB cargo version. Just took a 750-mile camping trip (two adults and a medium sized dog..enough provisons for 4 days) and everything went great. I average 37 mpg on the highway at appx 70mph. Seats over that duration were decent enough...I'm not sore but I can't say we cruised in total comfort either. Road noise was tiresome due to the cargo van and it's lack of insulation but I think the bigger culprit were the lousy Continental tires. Both are fixable. Overall a good experience.
  14. Where can I find these bulkhead options? Thank you-Rich
  15. I think those are for options that come in the wagon version. I have the same patterns in my cargo version and was hoping to one day add whatever goes in there.
  16. My g/f's Ninja 500 fits in my 2014 LWB but my Honda VTX doesn't..too long even for my LWB cargo version. Not a big deal as there's no way I'm pushing that 700lb bike in there anyway. IMO the 2014 is so much better in every way over the 2010-2013. I looked at both very closely and the improvements and comfort make saving a couple grand off a leftover 2013 not worth it. (plus the new ones look a lot better(
  17. I bought my 2014 XLT LWB about a month ago. It replaced a 2000 Chevy Astro cargo van that I used for work. I own a pizza place/catering business and this is perfect. Comfy/economical enough for a daily driver but room enough to haul 80-90 pizzas at a time. The Astro could haul a lot more weight but that's not an issue for me. BTW the 2014 is a huge improvement over the previous generation in every way. I thought about buying a leftover 2013 but a side by side comparison was no contest.
  18. I considered special ordering, but spent three weeks visiting the many Ford dealers in the Chicago area. This one had almost everything I would've ordered anyway except for the 17" wheels/tires. It's an XLT with the mid-level stereo so it has a USB charger and an AUX in. I've read too many bad things about the Sync system to risk it. I'm very glad I didn't special order after reading about so many delays.
  19. Starting to look for wheels. I'm hoping for a set of Focus ST or Fusion 17" alloys.
  20. I bought a 2014 TC XLT XWB three weeks ago. Black, off the local dealer lot. It's everything I would've ordered anyway (except for bigger/nicer wheels and tires..an easy fix). It replaced a 2000 Chevy Astro cargo van that reached the end of it's useful life. So far I love this van and have hauled my g/f's Ninja motorcycle, large snowblower, and numerous trips to the food wholesalers for my pizza business. It's comfortable for me ( 5-11, 175lbs) and I get 23 mpg. One gripe: The aux input is hidden in the center console; I'd rather it on the dash but it's no biggie. My only immediate upgrade is for a divider because I think it will help with climate control in the cab area.
