SavvyQueen
Hi! My 2016 transit connect with LWB doesn’t have a 3rd row seat. Can used ones be added to make it a 7-passenger van? The pics below are the area I want to add seats. Thanks in advance!
Fifty150
If you can get the seats, I am sure that you can drill holes and bolt them in. Actually, you may already have the holes. Left the carpet kit and look. Installing the seat belts may be more difficult. But not really. You just have to have all the right parts. Then it's as simple as removing your parts, and installing the new parts. SavvyQueen
SavvyQueen
Thanks for that response. I’ve found used seats at a junk yard, now I need to find someone local who can install them correctly.
Fifty150
Does the junkyard have a complete van? The best thing to do is take photos. Lots of them. Photos of your van. Photos of that van at the junkyard. Compare what is different. As you may need things like the carpet kit, the interior panels, the seat belts (obviously). And if your van does not have an auxiliary junction box, and that van has it - then plan on taking that also. SavvyQueen

As a matter of fact, I’m there’s a small fuse laying on the carpet beside it. And yes, the junkyard has the entire van.
Fifty150
Look at the photo. Right above the junction box, there is a seat belt. You will need that. And the body panels. For both sides.
NastyNate338
Hi - FNG here. 16 TC LWB Cargo, got a 2nd row in and now trying to add 3rd row. Do the cargo versions come with 3rd row threaded, seat mounting holes? I’ve got the deck lined w sound deadening material and trying to minimize the rework. Do thesevans have the holes and if so, anyone got pics of location and reference point?

I don't think the holes exist. The reason the 2nd row holes were there plus seat belt provisions was the vans were imported with 2nd row seats to get around the chicken tax. Seats and belts, windows, etc were then stripped out to make it a cargo van. I too added sound proofing but I have a pic with the cargo mat removed if that helps. Good luck! I placed the seats where it would make sense and then scraped up all the sound deadening material in the surrounding area and didn’t find mounting holes. I’m gonna go to Ford and print a diagram that details the difference between the two vans. It should just be a threaded nut that’s machined into the body. Dependent upon what I find out, I might fan some brackets and drill some holes but we’ll see. Thanks for the reply🤙🏽
