Boutique Blinds
I have a 2012 TC and it is chewing through front tires like crazy. It's been for 2 alignments and the shop says it's within spec. The van is pulling to the right and the passenger front tire is the worst with the majority of the wear on the outside. The front driver side also has the majority of the wear on the outside, but is not as significant as the passenger side tire. The back tires are like new! Any help would be greatly appreciated! BSJBSJ
Take it to a different shop?
Gideon
Could it be suspension, not alignment, problems ?? Weak springs perhaps? IMHO (and I'm no mechanic), if springs are weak and van leans more than usual in turns, that may be the reason.
G B L
If it pulls to the right then the Passenger side tire is holding line and is scrubbing. The out side of the front tires will wear more if the cornering is aggressive . If the car is sitting level and evenly loaded you should find a shop that can do an accurate toe in adjustment , one with a good scrub gauge would be the best.
