escobar
I have a hole in my AC tube on my transit. I have attached a pic, its #14. Re charging my system, is this something I can do with one of those cans at auto zone? thanks Edited May 27, 2016 by escobar
NateTheFknGreat
I'd take it to a mechanic shop or see if you have a friend who works in HVAC... You need to fix the leak, then evacuate the system meaning pulling out all the air in the line under vacuum then you can recharge it by adding freon... Because not to add too much or you run the risk of blowing your compressor and/or seals...
escobar
yea im gonna take it to a pro to recharge. The leak was easy to find, two hoses rubbed against each other and caused a hole. I have a new hose on the way and will put it on, just have to get it recharged.
G B L
If this is not too late. Replace the receiver drier at the same time as the system has been open
