Paul Hauser
I noticed on Ebay that some gen2 TCs have a center console with an armrest, like this one. My '14 TC Van has a console with an open cubby hole like this and a single armrest on the seat. Does anyone know if I could use the former type of console with the seat I have, will the armrests fit side by side? Can I remove the armrest from the seat I have? Thanks for any help or Ideas. Lovedabikes
I am interested in this, I have no armrests, and the center console is too low and far back for me. To do a longer drive this is needed. I have looked aftermarket, but nothing is out there, seems if I could just get a new lid that was longer or adjustable I would be set. G B L
Yes the Drivers Arm rest will have to go if the glove box arm rest is used. LostInTransit
Paul Hauser
A seatcover might cover any hole left by removing the armrest.
G B L
It would, but you could also find some Rip stop tape in the correct color that would also do the job.

Chumba
Did you ever figure out how to remove the existing armrest? Trying to do something similar on my 2016 TC.

Figured it out! Just rotate the armrest to a 60 degree angle and pull. Should slide right off. If you are having trouble, try putting the armrest in the lowest position then (assuming your in the passenger seat) pull toward you while you rotate the armrest through its full range of motion. That's it!
