DarbukaDave
I built a storage platform to go where the third row seats used to be. It is sized to fit plastic storage bins, and bolted into the floor. It will have a fold-out board that will allow comfortable sleeping with plenty of room to stretch out. Paint is Rustoleum enamel with Majic hardening catalyst. Not quite finished yet, but you get the idea. thx138
Good looking start. What is that thing mounted on the PS panel above the access panel?
windguy
one thing that I see from your pic is the difference between the side panels of a wagon vs the cargo model. the area circled in red on the attached pic shows an area that is optimized by the wagon. The cargo model has this area boxed in and not used that would make a nice compartment for storage, which the van lacks. makes you want to remove the side panels and make your own covers with storage. if only I had the time. G B L
The wagon rear panels take up a little more interior space where you see the metal wheel tub on the van giving 48inches between the wheels. The Wagon covers wheel tub and reduces the clearance to just shi of 47 inches. The panel also houses a cooling duct for the rear AC that cools the third Seat. Of course there are the required Cup Holders for the rear seat passenger's Latte!! Wilbelectric
DarbukaDave
Good looking start. What is that thing mounted on the PS panel above the access panel? It's a power hub/switch for LED lighting that I am adding to the back for more cargo illumination.
DarbukaDave
Here's what the strip light looks like currently:
windguy
I like that light. nice addition. I'd like to do something similar in my van since the existing LED light off to the side is mostly blocked a cargo deck that I have hanging from the ceiling. the location they put the regular light for the wagon is much better centered in the back of the van above the doors. I'd like to add an off/on/door switch too.
