EGR Sensor won’t clear!!

Hey guys. New here so not sure if this is posted in the right spot.

I have a 2011 transit connect that won’t pass smog due to EGR sensor not being ready and it’s giving me a huge headache. I’m in California so emissions is a hassle. In September I had a small EVAP leak code, I replaced the purge valve but the code came back. I then took it to a shop and they found the vapor canister was staying open by a smoke test. So they replaced it and the code went away.

But since then my EGR sensor will not clear. No other codes or systems not ready. I have done all the drive cycles a dozen times. I drove over 800 miles trying to get it to be ready. I took it back to the shop and they double checked that the systems were functioning properly. Shop told me to drive it more ?

I went ahead and replaced the EGR valve myself and reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes. I have since drove over 1200 miles and the EGR sensor is still not ready.

I’m pulling my hair out. Do you guys know of anything else I can try?

thanks

Do you have access to the live data to see the EGR reading?

I believe my ODB2 has that function but not sure what I’d be looking for. I can try and get the data and upload it here.

Did you also replace the wire harness?

I did not. I did probe the connector pins and the resistances were all good according to a document my mechanic buddy sent to me.

30 seconds idle 1/2 throttle to 45mph steady for sixty seconds. Repeat 3 times. That did it first time after 600 mi and trying many other things.
