MarcusH
Hello, Recently purchased a 2015 TC Titanium. Everything on the van works great except for the voice command and phone buttons do absolutely nothing. I took it to the dealer and it looks like it needs a new APIM. Would this be something that I can replace and program myself with FORSCAN?
Don Ridley
Yes. If you buy a used APIM from the same model year you won't have to flash new firmware (only advanced users should attempt this). You will have to load the configuration file and this is relatively easy and a commonly used function in Forscan. You will need to do some homework and Forscan tutorial study, but its not too bad. A used APIM is only around $100. Get Forscan running and scan for errors to confirm the dealership diagnosis first. windguy
windguy
Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your new TC. I agree with Don, confirm the diagnosis first. My van's radio faceplate is the same as the pic below from the manual, which shows a phone option, but I don't have sync so it's inoperable. Are you sure your van radio has sync? Not sure what audio system comes with the Titanium trim. Is sync included or is it an option?
