Scrappy_TC
Hey All, Has anyone removed sections or the entire center console for easier back and forth access from the front seats? Asking mostly in context to a camper conversion. Swivel seats sure would be nice, but not happening. I figure the freedom movement and less crawling over could be good. davidparker
You could certainly remove the console, but the emergency brake handle will still be in the way. But it may give you just enough space to get back and forth. There is only four screws holding it on. But you have to loosen the e-brake to remove the console. You could try it and see if it works for you.
stanger_missle
The parking brake handle sticks up quite a bit. Plus there are the brackets for the center console but you could remove them. The airbag computer and associated wiring are all under the console as well. The floor is not flat like it is in most FWD cars either.
