Replaced my EGR valve because I was getting a p0403 code. Still getting code at different times. The one thing I notoced was it  would come on when I had to get out in traffic quick, Any one have any trouble like tis or know a cure? This is a 2014 transit connect with a 2.5 engine and I did use an original Ford valve.

I don't have my book handy to double check, but I *think* it's in front of the left front tire, down low just behind the fog light.  If you remove the wheel and the fender liner, you can't miss it.  I had to remove a large computer there (which I assume was the ECM) when installing new fog lights with DRL's in them.  Really odd place for it as it's bound to get destroyed in even a minor fender bender and I'm sure it's really expensive, but as you know, there's not much room for anything else under the hood

If that one isn't the ECM, someone please correct me  -  If I get home to check the book, I'll correct myself if it's not the right computer

Just to let everyone know I found the problem. First the computer is located behind the front wheel well on the drivers side for USA. Second the wire harness that comes down and around the engine and goes to the computer is where the problem was. There id a long bolt that comes out from the transmission and is suppose to have .a plastic cap with a wire tie over it to hold the harness in place. It had come off and the harness had rubbed against it till it wore through. Guess what wire was shorting out every time I took off. Yellow with green stripe to EGR valve. Taped it up got the plastic cap back in place and no more P0403 code.

Hopefully this will keep some one from going through the same thing.
