Granted
I just purchased a 2016 Titanium LWB and took it on a 7 hour road trip. One complaint is the front seats angle is a bit too flat. Even with the power driver seat, it doesn't have a way to tilt the butt pad. I find myself sliding toward the pedals. Has anyone found a way to mod the butt cushion so the front is angled up a bit more (or lower the rear)? My MX5 had the same issue but fixed it with some bolt bracket mods. I can't see a way to do this on the TC.
Beta Don
Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about your issue with the seats. I've got the leather power seat in my TC and never noticed my butt sliding forward . . . . and leather is a bit more slippery than other fabrics. Never had this problem in my MX5 either Can you add a spacer to the bolts which mount the front of the seat to get a little extra elevation? Probably would not take very much - Half an inch might make all the difference in the world If you do find anything which solves your problem, please post the solution here so it may benefit anyone else who might have the same problem Don

Probably would not take very much Don Hello Don and thanks for the reply. Simply adding spacers to the front bolts is my last resort as it will alter the safety factors and alter other geometry points of the seat. I only want to tilt the butt cushion. Tnick
I have the same gripe. On the power seat adjuster, it seems to lower the butt if you push down on the front of the seat part of the controller (totally counter-intuitive), but it still feels slightly pitched forward. Hard on the knees after enough hours too.

A case could be made that sliding toward the steering wheel isn't safe either. Maybe you're a 5th percentile body type? Me..., I'd add spacers to not submarine under the steering wheel in a crash.
