Don Ridley
Here is a nice advantage of the high roof on the TC. I installed a Thule Sidearm rack inside my 2016 SWB XLT. I fabricated a plate and used shoulder nuts (threaded rivets) to mount it to the floor. The mountain bike barely fits and the road bike fits perfectly.https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/bike-rack/roof-bike-racks/thule-sidearm-594xt-_-5546509
Project bike truck
Don is this a cargo van or a wagon?

Project bike truck
So you made a platform behind the driver seat?
Don Ridley
No. I just removed the one section of the 60/40 rear seat. Both front seats are all the way back so the rear passenger foot well is not easy to see, but it is there. In the photo a door mat covers the seat mounting brackets. I made a mounting plate for the Thule rack.
Osco
Nice work, I have always put just the seat back down just like you do Don, then I drape a towel to keep the bike dirt off the side of the upright seat and hooked a strap around the head rest post and a second one from the lower rear hook point on the back of the seat section. Cost of the two straps was something like $8 and no fabrication or mount. Bike has never moved yet..
Mike Chell
Nice modification, Don.
BikeNerd
This is what I came up with for my Connect. Works pretty good other then having to figure out something for the front wheels.
