Larry Ashurst
I'm in the UK and have an 07 Connect van. With our weather I find the normal wiper control frustrating. Slow or fast. So I was looking at updating it to the rotary intermittent wiper like other Fords have. A lot of Ford parts are interchangeable across the range. Eg. Mk6 fiesta steering wheel is that same as the Connect. The window switches are the same on a Puma. So. I found that the Mondeo wiper stalk is the same as the connect, but has the rotary control on it. So, I bought one off eBay and fitted it. It's a direct replacement and works the same. But the rotary does nothing. I presume it's just a relay that is missing now. Does anyone know?
mrtn
Someone in Germany did the modification and it also required the full Mondeo loom to work. The stalk does not control the speed.
Beta Don
I agree - You're probably missing more than just a relay. Your steering column may not be wired for it and then whatever controls the variable speed (likely some electronics are involved) probably isn't in your van either I swapped my OEM steering wheel for a leather covered one from a van the same year as mine and the new wheel has the radio and Bluetooth controls on it, but those controls can't be made to work on my van unless I replace a lot of expensive wire harnesses which just isn't practical to do even if I had the needed wiring - I'd have to disassemble most of the dash Don
