roadready
have a 2010 stock audio....does anyone know if these have an amplifier separate from the actual stock stereo and if so where the location is.....I hit a bump and stereo goes off and another bump and back on.....but off more than on....think an amplifier connection is loose, checked back of stereo tie in multi cable and that wasn't it. mrtn
Haven't heard of any Connects with a separate factory amp, so most likely your head unit is integrated. You just got the best reason ever to upgrade your stereo Hanover Fiste
103west43rd
Hello roadready. mrtn is correct, there is no separate amp. I do have a question. When you hit a bump, does the radio turn off (display goes blank), or does the audio just go off?
roadready
no the display stays lit up just the volume goes away
103west43rd
Hello roadready. There is not much external to the radio involving the speakers. Both speakers are connected to the 8 pin connector on the back of the radio. Since the radio stays on but both speakers go dead, the first place to look is the only external item that both are connected to, and that is the connector. The problem is, you have mentioned you have checked it. It is always possible the problem is in the radio. Unlikely, but possible.
