framebinder
I find the warning buzzer that the seat belt is unbuckled to be overly enthusiastic. Then I read on page 93 of our owners manual that there is a procedure to shut the buzzer off. It entails turning on the ignition, but not the motor, and buckling & unbuckling the seat belt nine times within 50 seconds. I tried this several times to no avail. Has anybody else tried this? Did it work? And by the way, what's with no accessary position on the ignition?

LiarCatchers
Yes follow instructions for both driver and passenger. If you do one and not the other, and someone is in passenger seat, it will continue to ring.
Power_Dr
I tried this and it worked, but then a few days later it was buzzing again. Does this only work until you stop and start the van? or is it supposed to disable it for ever?
framebinder
I finally had the dealer do it for me, though he made me sign a paper releasing him from liability. It still beeps, but only one time.
Jaymz
I did mine. It rings one time and the light stays on. Not as bad as every 20 seconds or so like before. I finally had the dealer do it for me, though he made me sign a paper releasing him from liability. It still beeps, but only one time. Bug Man
This worked well for me and THANK YOU for the enfo. Like Jay I find that it dings four or five times (one instance) when I start it up, but then it never rings again. Because I do route work I drive very slowly on back roads and get in and out constantly so I often do not connect the belt. The claxon was a real P I A so I am grateful for the help!
