Not sure if pleasing plumbers was the intention but this vehicle has all the pre-requisites that most commercial users need in a small compact van . The interior is way superior to the Ford Transit connect .This will be available for sale in the USA in Feb/March 2011 and comparable in price :). Looks like the cargo space is larger than the Transit connnect to ! What dya think guys is it a "Connect slayer" as a V6 or V8 engined beast lol

Of course it has more cargo space than a Transit Connect. The TC is based on a compact car, this monstrosity is based on the Nissan Titan full-size pickup truck. They will be competing in two totally different arenas. Right now the Transit Connect has the small delivery van market locked up in North America, since no other company offers a comparable product (unless you count the C/V versions of the Caravan, and I don't). This truck, on the other hand, is clearly aimed square at the Econoline, Chevy/GMC vans, and Sprinter. The article says it is 241" long! The Transit Connect is 181" long. The Nissan is 5 feet longer! How is that compact??

I know looks are subjective, but that thing is the ugliest work truck I have ever seen... and that's saying something because I drive a Transit Connect, which isn't a beauty queen.

I had noticed these last summer on Nissan's website and even considered getting past the ugliness, until I saw that it was longer than my F150!!!!!!!!???!?!? Yowch! Would not work for me and my garage/driveway. Plus the fuel economy was what I was after, but yes that interior is pretty nice.

This NV is really a competitor for the E150's, I hope Ford brings in those sweet Euro Transit (different from transit connect) vans to compete with this pug nosed monster.

I saw one of those at the Auto Show in Toronto recently. I think could you park a Transit Connect inside that thing. Having always been kinda into the van thing (I was born in the '70s. Could that be it?) I think it's really cool to see all these new vans coming over here.

I saw one two days ago at my local dealer. The Nissan rep was there to show the mechanics the ins and outs of the NV2500. I liked what they have done with this truck/van. This does look like a modern version of the 70"s panel truck. I priced one out , loaded with the V6 it was about 29k sticker price. The rep said the V6 gets about 21MPG on the highway so in real terms I wonder what that really means ? I have been driving van's for most of my life and wish that the USA had the vehicles made for the rest of the world. I really like the Transit Connect but if I can't haul a motocross bike I will buy this Nisan.
