Jazzalina Garcia
Hi all.. I recently bought a Ford transit connect, diesel LWB 2007 reg. Someone has put a double seat in the back of it which I want to remove. However...I cant undo the bolts...they just keep turning but not coming out, and obviously need securing underneath with a spanner or something whilst I undo them... Trouble is, I cant work out how to get to them. I can see that the floor is a double layer with a hollow centre, but cant dont know how to access it.. The seat is bolted onto the plywood, so it cant be under there...I thought maybe they may have took one fo the front seats out, but looking at the size of the holes to aceess under the flooring and how far your arm would have to reach, that also doesnt look like the way. Thought it may have been via the step on the the inside of the side loading door, but no... Have searched online but cant find any info.... Hoping that someone here may know :-) Many thanks ! mrtn
The plywood floor is not a standard piece so you can just grind the heads of the bolts if you're comfortable with sparks flying around the van. If not then fix the bolt with preloadable pliers and drill the head off. And then hope the bottom pieces will not rattle. operating engineer O/O
mrtn
Every time I read your post I read your signature twice. At least. And if a rattle starts, spray undercoating into the holes....
