Spooner
Is there a way to limit how high the liftgate goes? When I put it up in my garage it barely touches the top of the opening of the garage/bottom of the garage door. It would be nice if you could adjust it so it wouldn't hit. I end up have to raise it super slowly so it won't damage the door which is a PITA. I know some of the power ones you can do that, but I don't see how to do it by looking at it or reading in the manual. I'm guessing I will just have to deal with it but I can't be the only person that wonders about this.
mrtn
If it has gas struts you could just replace those with shorter ones. A few mm should do.
103west43rd
Hello Spooner. Measure the length the struts open to, deduct an inch. Buy two bungee cords, the solid rubber type, as close to what you need or even longer and cut to required size.. Attach each end by ty-wraps or clamps near the anchoring points of the struts.
